Our Purpose
The Evangelical Crusade Christian Church (ECCC) is called to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to make disciples who will impact their families, communities and the kingdom of God. We are committed to seeing Him formed in each believer. We believe a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the best way to live. Our purpose, therefore, is to provide “a place of refuge, retreat, transformation and restoration” (1 Samuel 22:1-2) for all who fellowship with us.

Our Mission
ECCC’s mission is to develop our members and others through instruction and spiritual teaching. We provide guidance on the articles of faith and seek to advance our community’s spiritual growth and enlightenment. Additionally, we engage in local and foreign missions; aid in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ; educate, prepare, train, and ordain Christian men and women for Christian ministry.

About Tabou Combo

  • Tabou Combo’s mission is to represent Haiti and its music on a global stage, serving as the “Ambassadors of Konpa” and keeping alive the vibrant rhythms of Haitian compas. Founded in 1968 in Pétion-Ville by Albert Chancy and Herman Nau, the band began as “Los Incognitos” before adopting the name Tabou Combo to reflect their Haitian roots.
  • Their core mission is to perform, innovate, and share Haitian dance music with audiences worldwide, blending traditional elements like rara drums, Haitian quadrilles, and vodou ceremonial rhythms with global influences such as African soukous, American funk, and Latin meringue. They sing in Haitian Creole, French, Spanish, and English, making their music accessible across cultures.
  • Over more than five decades, Tabou Combo has:
  • -Promoted Haitian culture internationally, becoming the first Caribbean band to have a number one single in the French Hit Parade.
  • Inspired generations with high-energy, danceable music that evokes themes of exodus, resilience, and hope.
  • -Maintained a constant presence on stage, with many original members still performing alongside new talent.
  • In their own words, co-founder Herman Nau described “rhythm as the essence” of Tabou Combo, emphasizing that their mission is to keep that rhythm alive for audiences everywhere. Today, they continue to tour globally, from Paris to New York, reinforcing their role as cultural ambassadors and keepers of Haiti’s musical heritage.
